My Mrs owned a bar in lanzarote at Playa Blanca. Wouldnt rush to go back, but its ok.

The world windsurfing championship are held in Fuerterventura, there is a clue there somewhere.

Off to Teguise for a fortnight at Easter, just for a sunny break with our 3 year old. H10, half board, perfick. Will miss Palace and Arsenal games tho.
Then a coupla months in France, Jul/Aug, just to relax n live life at a calmer pace for a while.

Fuerteventura = Sand. If you like sand then it's the place for you.
Lanzarote = Prettier and fun if you like geology.

Went to Lanz a few weeks ago and stayed in Puerto Del Carmen. Plenty of bars and decent restaurants but apart from the volcano and some stunning views at the north of the island there's not much to do other than sunbathe or get pissed.

Volcanic countryside where parts of Star Wars was filmed
Not part of the EU for customs purposes so don't make the same mistake I did and buy loads of booze and loads of Golden Vagina - it's duty free rules from there. (eg. 200 fags max)

Wasn't bowled over by it but stayed in the ex's parents place which is stunning.
